Miss Annick Continues to Sexify Women Everywhere!

As Annick embarked on her next mission to sexify USA, she took a detour to Phoenix, AZ before heading to Portland, OR. On her way home, she thought The Calgary Stampede could use a bit of sexy excitement...
It's another day at the office when Miss Annick has to sweep up feathers yet again... In early July she took a 'vacation' and held a Sexify your Soul workshop during her travels.
She taught her workshop early Sunday morning at the Portland Dance Festival:

Jiggling and giggling on July 7th with Kaitlyn Regehr...
So... I decided to attend Kaitlyn Regehr's coyote ugly work shop.
Night starts out with hugs, hellos, and diva kisses from fellow dancers, soon
it's time to belly up to the bar. The dance bar...the ice cold beer was for later.
YEEHAW
Ready for the night in my tight black hip hugging yoga pants....leave the daisy dukes for the younger ones. Pink cowboy hat in hand...I mean on head, black spaghetti strap top with added pink tassels for emphasis and I am ready to sashay down the coyote trail !!!!
Previously I had spent a year toning and tightening my core with Di and her merry band of outlaws a.k.a. instructors Kim and Annick. And for one night only, in rides a new Sheriff, cutie pie Kaitlyn and she wants me to forget core and let things....shake a bit more, let my hips sway....unleash them....
What the blazes Katilyn? What you been drinking? Moonshine?
She bats her eyes at us in slow motion and with a sugary smile tells us, forget core, think jiggle and sway.
“UH HUH,” she says, thumbs stuck deep into her belt buckle, which by the way is sitting strategically below her tiny waist. It’s as if she is sayin, “I'm the new Sheriff in town and I make the rules.” Sway those hips, loosen it up gals.
AND WE DID!
All too soon level one was over but wait for it, level two promised more tricks than a
traveling medicine show. Dancers refreshed with liquid barley at the watering hole,
level two brought on more excitement for the naughty cow girls.
My hips...let them sway, got it! But you want me to what? Hold on there Sheriff, you may be new in town but you want me to let my backside what? A milkshake? That's not at all lady like now is it? But that is what the night is all about, taking risks and having fun. I look around and see smiles and giggles and right out slap your thigh laughing from my fellow cowgirls.
“ Tighten those thighs but jiggle that behind.”
Being that my butt is the biggest part of me you would think that would be easy.
But it does take a lot of concentration to make the connection. One part tight
one part loose....
Level two done and dusted, Kailyn rides into the sunset unleashing the cowgirls on an unsuspecting city. We are armed, dangerous, and gorgous, just ask anyone that was at Ranchmans!
Remember the rules girls, never ride alone, safety in numbers,
and try not to be separated from the herd... unless you want to be !!!!

Coyote Ugly Outing a Hit

Burlesquercise really knows how to kick up their heels in style with a Coyote Ugly Outing nonetheless... Thank you to all the ladies who came out on Thursday July 7 to kick start The Calgary Stampede festivities at the Ranchman's.
It was a great way to practice all our cowgirl moves that we learned just the day before at Miss Kaitlyn Regehr's Cowgirl Essentials & Coyote Ugly Playshop on Wednesday July 6. We can't wait until the next workshop!!! Can y'all give me a YAHOO?!?

Janet’s Fan Dance Inspires

Okay, really it was Janet that gave herself a gift by joining so many classes
and trying to do the impossible despite her knees and health condition.
But you my dear put the icing on the cake.
I spoke with Janet at length in the back room as
she was sitting with those seductive and sultry feather fans
and she told me how you approached her to do the solo and the lessons
that followed.
YUP the icing on the cake my dear.
What this really says to me is that you, DI ,
have stayed true to your mission statement
"Sexify yourself " .
It would be easy as a dance company to be distracted by those gorgeous young girls
joining all the time, and some of them with such potential....to move your company into another direction.
But when Janet danced last night
I realized that you stayed true to your
passion, empowering woman
to empower themselves.
As Oprah says we are in charge of our own
lives...yes there are external factors
we cannot control, but we decide how to react
to what life pitches or shall I say bitches at us..blah blah blah,
psyco babble but it's true. When life doesn't always give us what we want
we must go out and get it for ourselves.
So I applaud you Di, for staying true to your vision
and I applaud Janet for taking that first step into your studio,
look where that first step lead....
it led her onto a dance floor doing a solo fan dance
in front of a very appreciative and supportive audience.
That moment when Janet danced was the highlight
of my 14 months with Burlesquercise! It actually made me cry.
It was right before I went on and did the chair tease...
So there I was dragging my chair out onto the floor with blurred vision,
smiling and being in the moment, and enjoying every minute of it.

Meet Nancy

Don't let this girl fool you, she's one hot tamale... Maybe Nancy hides behind her mask but Burlesquercise has taught her to unleash her sexy side, even into her early retirement years!

I am a self-driven, type A, and competitive perfectionist. Besides working hard, I have always lived to meet other people’s expectation or tried to make others meet my expectations... I worked hard through school, applied myself in jobs and worried about how my kids were going to turn out. As a result, the stress took it’s toll and caused a few burned outs in my life.
Who says people can’t change?! With the proper instrument and technician, namely: Burlesquercise and Miss Diana respectively... I am experiencing a transformation. Since I started Burlesquercise a year ago, I have noticed a desire to strive for a carefree living, to feel good about myself and to enjoy the precious moments in life.
Someone once said every day is a bonus once you passed the age of 50. My husband retired early just a year ago and I followed suit a few months ago. We are totally enjoying every day of our lives. We feel we have fulfilled our obligation as parents and as children to our own parents. Now, it is time for us to focus on what we enjoy doing, for example, our interest in ballroom dancing and my new found love in Burlesquercise. As I entered the level two Burlesquercise classes this year, I feel more passionate about the art. It is obvious that my advancing in Burlesquercise technique has further promoted my wellness from within and also has helped my ballroom dancing tremendously.
Above all, Diana, you have served as my mentor…no matter how fast you are paddling beneath the water, you have always maintained your cool. Thank you for your patience, encouragement and the sharing of our girly jokes.
Best wishes to the Burlesque Disco Night this Saturday, I know I am going to have a grand time and so will my husband.

Doctor or Dancer? Maybe both! Read on...
Doctor by Day, Dancer by Night Hi I’m Missy, I love hanging out with friends, the beach and Mini Eggs. Pretty standard right? I’m working towards my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, focusing on the effects combat deployments have on the mental health of returning military members, particularly within The United States Marine Corp. Oh, and I’m a Burlesque dancer.
Yep – those that wide-eyed and fascinated-yet-slightly-confused reaction are common. Apparently my definition of a typical 22 year-old isn’t so typical…?
I’ve been dancing with Burlesquercise for over 2 years and am famously unapologetic for being myself. I’m loud, hilarious, brutally honest and bossy; all which have helped earn me the nickname of “Survivor Island.” On top of my bubbly personality, my bodacious 6 foot frame (including heels and hair) makes me the epitome of an “Amazon” goddess (another nickname). I work it, I own it and you love it.
I can attribute much of my ability to express my greatness to Burlesquercise. Not only is it so fun to play different characters (I’ve been everything from a Brazilian bird to a sexy Army General) but sharing the floor with women from all walks of life is invigorating. Each woman brings her unique individuality to every show, a twist that Burlesquercise not only promotes but thrives on. I didn’t fit the mould so I changed it. And I love that about myself. (I’m learning those around me love that too, or at least they find it amusing!) All the people I’ve met through burlesque have been incredibly supportive of both my dancing and my goals outside of the studio, which I’ve come to understand are definitely connected. If you can work it on stage you can work it in life!

Fresno gets Sexified by Miss Annick again!

Continuing on her quest to sexify the USA, Miss Annick taught an oversold workshop and was in a professional line-up in a 'cat burlesque show' at The Fresno Dance Classic!
Over the Memorial Day Long Weekend, May 26-30, Miss Annick travelled to the hot city of Fresno, CA and promoted Burlesquercise along the way...
Upon popular demand, Sexify your Soul workshop was once again on the schedule...being a hit in 2010 & also in 2011. The room was filled with ladies wanting to experience sexification, and they were not disappointed...
